into serving-size pieces. Put in large saucepan. Add 1 tbsp salt and
enough boiling water to cover. Bring to a boil. Turn down heat, cover
and simmer 30 minutes. Combine all remaining ingredients in a saucepan.
Bring to a boil, turn down heat and simmer 10 minutes. Heat oven to 400F
(205C). Lift spareribs out of cooking water and put them into a large
shallow roasting pan in a single layer. Pour the honey mixture over all.
Bake about 45 minutes or until ribs are very tender. Baste often with
the honey mixture and turn ribs occasionally.
