Method :
- Put vodka and spices into a large
jar.
- Dissolve the sugar in 125 ml of
water in a pan, pour it over the vodka and mix well.
- Leave to stand in a dark place for
a month, shaking the jar once or twice a week.
- Strain and bottle.
This is a delicious aperitif or after
dinner drink, served chilled with ice. Spiced liqueurs used to be drunk
as medicine and a general sort of pick me up.
