4 beef
medallions or fillet steaks, each 3 cm thick
1 tbsp
vegetable oil
4 tbsp
prepared paste sauce or tomato relish
4 bread
rolls, split and toasted
4 large
lettuce leaves
Method :
Combine black peppercorns and
paprika.
Coat beef medallions or fillet
steaks with pepper mixture.
Heat oil in a large frying pan
until it begins to smoke, add medallions or fillet steaks and cook
over a medium heat for 3-4 minutes each side or until cooked to your
liking.
Place pasta sauce or tomato relish
in a small saucepan and cook over a medium heat for 2-3 minutes or
until heated through.
Top bottom half of each roll with
a lettuce leaf, then a medallion or fillet steak, a spoonful of
sauce or relish and top half of roll.
