Steak With Mustard Sauce Recipes

Ingredients : |
30 g butter
4 lean rib eye or fillet steaks
French Mustard Sauce :
2 spring onions, chopped
1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
2 tsp Dijon mustard
125 ml dry white wine
3 tbsp water
1 tsp honey
1/4 tsp dried thyme
2 tbsp cream (double)
2 tbsp grated tasty cheese (mature
Cheddar) |
Method :
- Melt butter in a large frying pan,
add steaks and cook for 4-5 minutes each side or until cooked to
your liking.
- Remove steaks from pan, set aside
and keep warm.
- To make sauce, add spring onions
to pan and cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in wholegrain mustard, Dijon
mustard, wine, water, honey and thyme and cook over a medium heat,
stirring for 3-4 minutes or until sauce reduces slightly.
- Remove pan from heat and stir in
cream and cheese.
- To serve, spoon sauce over steaks.
Serves 4 - 6
