Cheese and Bacon Nachos Recipes

Ingredients :

6 rashers bacon, finely chopped

6 spring onions, finely chopped

4 jalapeño chilies, finely chopped

200 g packet corn chips

125 g grated tasty cheese (mature Cheddar)

250 g sour cream

Method :
  1. Cook bacon, spring onions and chilies in a nonstick frying pan over a medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until bacon is crisps.
  2. Remove from pan and drain on absorbent kitchen paper.
  3. Place corn chips in a shallow ovenproof dish and sprinkle with bacon mixture and cheese.
  4. Bake for 5-8 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
  5. Serve immediately, accompanied with sour cream for dipping.

Serves 6

Jalapeño chilies are medium green to dark green chilies that taper to a blunt end and are 5-7.5 cm log and 2-2.5 cm wide. They are medium to hot in taste and are also available canned or bottled.

Oven Temperature :

180oC, 350oF, Gas 4
