Method :
- Put all ingredients except the bay
leaves into a large bowl and mix well, then place into a large
greased loaf tin or two small ones.
- Smooth the surface and decorate
with bay leaves.
- Stand the tin in a baking tin, one third filled with water.
- Cover with foil.
- Put into a preheated oven (180C/350F/Gas 4) for 1.5 hours until cooked.
- Remove foil for the last 30 minutes to brown the surface.
Serves 6-8
Serve this meat loaf with a rich gravy and mashed potatoes, or cold with a salad and a fresh tomato sauce.
