Chili Beans and Bacon Recipes

Ingredients :

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp chili paste (sambal oelek)

1 onion, chopped

6 rashers bacon, chopped

440 g canned lima or butter beans, drained and rinsed

2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

freshly ground black pepper

Method :
  1. Heat oil in a large frying pan, add chili paste (sambal oelek), onion and bacon and cook, stirring constantly, for 4-5 minutes or until bacon is cooked.
  2. Add beans and cook for 5 minutes longer or until heated through.
  3. Stir in parsley and season to taste with black pepper.

Serves 4
