Method :
- Shred the cabbage finely.
- Heat the oil in a pan, add the onion and cook until it is
starting to brown.
- Add garlic, cook for 1 minute, then add the cabbage, salt,
pepper and caraway seeds.
- Keep stirring the cabbage until it has wilted.
- Add vinegar, stir, and cover the pan.
- Turn the heat very low and cook for 1 hour or until tender.
- Check very quickly several times to see that the liquid hasn't
dried up and turn the cabbage over.
Serve 6
This is an Italian way of cooking cabbage.
