Green Cabbage With Caraway Recipes

Ingredients :

Savoy cabbage

olive oil

large onion, chopped

garlic cloves, chopped

salt

pepper

caraway seeds

wine vinegar

Method :
  1. Shred the cabbage finely.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan, add the onion and cook until it is starting to brown.
  3. Add garlic, cook for 1 minute, then add the cabbage, salt, pepper and caraway seeds.
  4. Keep stirring the cabbage until it has wilted.
  5. Add vinegar, stir, and cover the pan.
  6. Turn the heat very low and cook for 1 hour or until tender.
  7. Check very quickly several times to see that the liquid hasn't dried up and turn the cabbage over.

Serve 6

This is an Italian way of cooking cabbage.
