Whole Fish In Ginger Recipes

Ingredients : |
1 kg whole
fish, scaled and gutted
2tsp
finely chopped or grated, fresh ginger
1 clove
garlic, crushed
4 tbsp soy
sauce
juice of 1
lemon
185ml dry
white wine
2 tsp raw
sugar
thin
slices of lemon, garnish |
Method :
- Using a very sharp knife, score
the skin of the fish, 3 or 4 times, at equal intervals, on each
side, at an angle to the backbone.
- Place fish in a baking dish.
- Combine remaining ingredients to make a marinade, and pour over the fish.
- Bake the fish, uncovered, in a preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until fish is tender.
- Baste frequently with the marinade during cooking.
- Serve the fish whole, with brown rice and a green salad, garnished with lemon slices.
