Saffron Chicken Recipes

Ingredients : |
800 g
chicken boneless, cut into 8 pieces
100 ml oil
2 bay
leaves
6 cloves
(laung)
6 green
cardamoms (choti elaichi)
160 g
onion paste
30 g
ginger paste
30 g
garlic paste
6 g
coriander powder
75 g
cashew nut paste
225 g
yoghurt, whisked
salt to
taste
white
pepper powder
a pinch
saffron (kesar)
150 ml
cream |
Method :
- Heat oil in a heavy bottomed pan.
- Add bay leaf, cloves and cardamom
and sauté until the cardamom changes color.
- Add onion paste, ginger and garlic
pastes and stir fry till the oil separates.
- Add coriander powder and cashew
nut paste, stir fry for 2 minutes.
- Add chicken pieces and cook for 3
minutes.
- Mix in yoghurt, add salt, white
pepper and saffron.
- Bring to boil, reduce heat, simmer
until chicken becomes tender.
- Garnish with chopped coriander and
slit green chilies (optional).
- Serve hot with any Indian bread.
