Chili Sambal Recipes

Ingredients :

25 small fresh red chilies, stalks removed

2 cloves garlic

1 small onion, chopped

2 tbsp brown sugar

185 ml water

1 tsp corn flour

2 tbsp white vinegar

Method :
  1. Place chilies, garlic and onion in a food processor or blender and process to make a paste.
  2. Transfer to a small saucepan, stir in sugar, water, corn flour and vinegar and bring to the boil.
  3. Reduce heat and simmer until mixture thickens.
  4. Remove pan from heat and set aside to cool.
  5. Transfer mixture to a warm sterilized jar.
  6. Seal and label when cold.
  7. Store in the refrigerator until required.

Makes 1 x 125 ml
