Lentil Soup Cooking Recipes

onions,
chopped
bacon
rashers, chopped
carrots,
chopped
oil
stock
salt
pepper
ground
coriander
ground
cumin
chopped
mint leaves |
Method :
- Wash the lentils thoroughly and
soak in water for several hours.
- Fry the onion and bacon in the oil
until the onions is translucent.
- Add the drained lentils and carrot
for a minute, stirring, then pour over the stock.
- Season with salt and pepper,
coriander and cumin.
- Bring to the boil and simmer
gently until the lentils are cooked.
- Garnish with mint leaves before
serving.
Serves 6 - 8
